Animals are amazing, unique creatures, and we need to treat them that way. As winter nears in the southern hemisphere, the staff of a bus terminal in Curitiba, Brazil, decided to take in three stray dogs so they could escape the cold.
Here are photos of the three lucky pups, Max, Pitoco and Zoinho.
Fabiane Rosa shared the story of these three stray dogs on Facebook. It is translated below.
Community dogs terminal of Barreirinha in Curitiba.
Respectful, careful, affectionate, they take risks, but they are free and happy.
I never tire of admiring Neusa dos Santos and other volunteers who provide for these angels, a warm bed in the cold, daily meals and fresh water, and a safe place.
Congratulations to the staff of the terminal who understand that these angels have the right to be there.
So many businesses in Curitiba could follow this example, adopt a pet.
Of course it’s not ideal, but at least there are those who look after them.
Last week Juninho of this terminal was hit in a brutal accident. He didn’t make it, but he was loved until his last breath. At the time of the accident, an employee immediately took him to the clinic São Lourenço, and Dr. Marlene cared for him until the end.
Abandonment is cruel, cowardly. It is a crime.
But together we can change this sad reality.
Report abuse!!! Don’t be afraid!!!
You may be the only hope for these angels who suffer quietly.
These community dogs have a much more dignified life than some who are victims of maltreatment and neglect, hidden behind the walls.
Let people understand that this world is not the privilege of humans. God created animals to teach us to love without conditions.
