An Austrian company has created a new wave of solar thinking. They have introduced the “Smart Flower”. This is a solar flower that actually blooms with the sun. The petals expand and contract depending on the time of day. Furthermore, it will rotate to track the sun’s movement for optimal absorption. These smart flowers fold themselves up if high winds and bad weather occur, and then reopen once the storm passes. Amazingly, this device can produce enough power to support an entire household, consequently creating the potential to reduce, or eliminate, traditional utility companies.
